the noble pig

Yesterday, my brother and I had a lunch at a sandwich place called the noble pig. It was delicious might I add. It is just a small little place on 620. My brother and I ordered, the noble pig (pictured in front) and the knuckle sandwich. They were both delicious! I have to say my favorite was the noble pig. The pulled pork was super soft and moist, like it melted in your mouth, and then there was the bacon that was perfectly crunchy. I definitely recommend a visit if you're ever in town.

Another plus, was on their menu next to Dublin Dr. Pepper they put RIP instead of a price point. Love.

hong kong

Check out this amazing article with pictures about Hong Kong. On how it is perceived, how it has changed, and what the future might old for this wonderful city.
I must say that personally I love this city, I went to high school there and my extended family lives there. The article really does hit a few major points about how the city is always ever changing. Just being away for a few ways, the city changes so much. I have not been back since the Beijing summer Olympics in 2008. And I am really trying to find the time to go back, but it's hard when you're working. When I think about going back I always think about how will this city of evolved? Will I remember where everything is? Or will I get lost and I the stranger to this city where I spent my teenage years?

Update: here is the National Geographic Photo Article.

which one...?

Four beautiful dresses. I cant decided which one to get at the moment. I'm leaning toward the third one because I love the simplicity of the lines as well as the neckline it has. Plus it has really cute button details on the back. Help, which one do you like the best?

my past week...

 glow in the dark golf

 I Love Lucy marathon

 Birthday Part for Sgt. Teddy

So this is a view of my past week. John and I had date night and went to play some indoor mini golf. It was fun, we didn't even have to pay to play. yay! Then later in the week, I went and visited my cousins and we started watching I Love Lucy from episode one! And they loved it. Then, last but not least Abbey wanted to celebrate Sgt. Teddy's birthday. I think he's about 3/4 years old. Personally, I feel she just wanted a reason to have chocolate cake (her favorite). Plus, she will be turning 5 very soon! I can't believe how fast they grow up.

venus

[the little black dot is Venus]

I know this is a bit nerdy, but right now I'm checking out Venus transit the sun live online. A once in a lifetime opportunity. Yes, this is my sciencey teacher side coming out. I am personally not a big astronomy person myself, so this information is from a co-worker of mine. He is knowledgable on pretry much everything science related!

So, this doesn't happen very often as you can tell. The next one will occur in 105 years from today. I'm not sure I will be alive then, but I think this is pretty cool. Especially since, I took a few of my students outside this year to check out Venus in the sky during classtime using a telescope! They personally felt it was a waste of time, but I bet in the future they will look back and think it was a pretty cool thing they did.

Lastly, sorry I have not been very good at this whole blog thing, with teaching it's just been so much. ....And since it is summertime now! I'm hoping to get back on the bandwagon!!!

What are your plans for the summer?
