How cute are these 6 week old puppies!!! Here is a link to a photo project from J. Nicole Smith. They are so cute! These puppies make me want to adopt another cute little puppy, but alas I can't get one just yet... Duke is only 9 months and he already gets jealous when I pet/give attention to another dog. And I love him too much to do that.

  1. Again to go to the gym almost everyday this week.
  2. Continue cleaning my classroom to get ready for summer.

weekend recap

emma's debut

whole foods ramen

This past Friday I went to my little cousin Emma's broadway musical debut! She played the Ace of Hearts in the Alice in Wonderland Jr. Musical at her school. She did such a great job and exuded confidence on the stage! I am so proud of her for going up on stage in front of lots of people.

Saturday, I was completely lazy! I just hung around the house with Duke and the only thing I did was make dinner. On Sunday, my family and I went to Whole Foods for lunch! Yes, I know it may sound weird (or at least that's what John thinks). We really went so that we could try their ramen. I love ramen and can never get enough of it. The ramen was pretty good, but it wasn't out of the park to where I have to go back all the time to eat it. 


Late Weeks Goals Update:

1. gym time monday-thursday evening and minimum of two times in the morning
          --> I went to the gym Monday-Wednesday (Wednesday I went twice). I didn't make it                                   Thursday because first, I cut my finger pretty bad making dinner Wednesday. And I also I                      had an event I had to attend at work Thursday night.
2. start cleaning up my classroom
          --> I was able to start cleaning up my classroom a little bit, but it is a continuous work in progress                     that is never ending.

Tuesday, May 13

weekly goals.



John and I talked last night about making weekly goals for ourselves. So here are my goals for this week. (hopefully posting it and telling John will make myself more motivated to complete them)

1. gym time monday-thursday evening and minimum of two times in the morning
2. start cleaning up my classroom

For some reason I was extremely exhausted today. I'm going to blame the weather that I didn't even have very much energy at the gym. But I am still proud of myself for going.

We also started to talk about some of the summer projects I have on my list, and here it goes.
1. create a pallet board wall
2. paint the shelves in my bathroom
3. repaint/refinish a 1950s outdoor metal glider bench
4. framed hanging magnetic scrabble boards
5. framed wine cork board
6. fix my framed chalkboards

That's all I have for now, I'm sure my summer list will grow.

Food Recap.

So this past week it has been quite light. I was able to cook myself something simple, fresh and delicious. I cooked portobello mushrooms for the first time. These are now my current food craving/obsession. I just want a portobello mushroom with everything. I was able to make enough to have lunch for myself and John the next day.

Also during the week I was able to have a girl's night thanks to one of my girlfriends. We had dinner at titayas for dinner. I couldn't decide if I wanted to have pad thai or pineapple fried rice. As you can tell I chose the tofu pad thai. It was really good, the atmosphere was also great too. I really enjoyed my girl's night and it was also really needed. I haven't had a girls night in such a long time.

I'm so sorry for the MIA lately. Work and life has been crazy! As things die down, I should be posting more regularly.
