Schools Out for Summer!!! Yay!!! I'm sorry about my random posts! School is just always so hectic but it is finally summertime!

My friend Vernon made it onto the inside cover of the school yearbook! He's showing students how oobleck is a non-newtonian fluid. (This means that it has properties of a liquid and a solid) He's showing what it does on a subwoofer speaker. You can check it out in this video here. He then schooled some students in physics through arm wrestling. It was quite entertaining, the students had some big talk and then Vernon beat them in one fell swoop.

During the last week of school, one of my students brought me a green apple gatorade. It was delicious. He was suppose to bring it to me a month ago, but he finally did the last week of school. Better late than never right? The wooden rolling pin was a gift from another student. It was made by Dan Coulbury. He is an amazing carpenter, and you can check him out here and here. He is a very talented and creative carpenter. I can't believe my student knew my secret passion for baking!!! So on Sunday I made a ham and mushroom quiche from scratch.

On the last day of school I got to hang out with my friend Veronica and a bunch of other co-workers for one last happy hour.

The things I'm looking forward to this summer are:
-waking up almost everyday to the cutest puppy in the world!
-eating tons of fresh fruit! (especially cherries and peaches)
-baking amazing things with my new rolling pin

surprise three-day weekend

homemade baked puppy treats

go team USA

john trying to look like dexter

So for my three-day weekend I spent it baking all natural homemade peanut butter bacon puppy treats for my spoiled puppy duke, spending time with my family, watching the winter olympics, and hanging out with John's family Sunday night. We had some great bbq and I may have bought way too much potato salad.

Did you enjoy your weekend? Especially with the nice weather.
