snow day....

The past few weeks in Texas have been crazy, weather wise. We have had three bad weather days so far and two late start days. This has never happened in my life. It will be bad weather outside one day and nice and sunny the next day.

a winter dreamland

dolce neve to end the night

On the first bad weather day, there was snow outside. This happens very rarely in Austin. Since there was no school, no schedule, and my love for walking I decided to venture outside, walk out to Jo's Coffee and get myself some hot chocolate and breakfast tacos to read my book outside. You're probably thinking I'm crazy, but Jo's has space heaters above the sitting area so it wasn't bad.
Then for dinner my brother decided to come visit me and we went to this new restaurant on soco called little barrel and brown. Now this is a deceiving looking place, there is no sign right now and it's only open for dinner. So whenever I walk by it during the day I always felt like it was a ghost restaurant since all the tables were set but I'd never seen anyone inside. The food is a bit pricey, but it is definitely scrumptious!
My brother and I ended our snow day with dolce neve on south first street. This is the best gelato place ever! I had to get my weekly fix even though it was so cold outside. That's my face from eating the lemon mint sorbet.

second bad weather day...

lunch at south congress cafe with friends

The second bad weather day we had in Austin, I wasn't as adventurous as the first since it wasn't snow outside, but there was ice everywhere. It was really bad, there were accidents everywhere so I decided to not venture out. Once the ice started to thaw out and the roads were getting better my two amazing friends and coworkers Hannah and Veronica went out to South Congress Cafe for lunch. It was Hannah's first time!

third bad weather day.... (today)....

duke

Today's bad weather I will be hanging out with John and our puppy Duke. I'm quite excited we don't have anything planned for today, which means we will see where the day takes us!

I hope you are enjoying your bad weather days staying warm.
